The once proud Americn beer-meister and now foreign owned brewing giant Budweiser, was forced to pull their pro-transgender beer commercial featuring Amy Schumer and actor Seth Rogen after their Bud Light commercials bombed and were found to be actually hurting sales, not improving them.

Ad rating service, AdWeek, reported that Budweiser came in well under expected profits in the company’s third quarter, prompting the King of Beers to jerk the Schumer ads well ahead of schedule. The ads were bombing miserably and receiving abysmal ratings on YouTube with more than 1900 “thumbs down,” compared to a poultry 300 “thumbs up.”

The reception of the “transgender” beer commercial was so bad Fox News reported that for a period of time the YouTube video had comments disabled.  They have since been turned back on.  The vast majority of the comments toward Schumer, who has been busy traveling promoting feminist “ideals” and “social justice” causes, along with the “transgender” message, have been negative or extremely negative.  All of this might lead one to ask the simple question, ‘Who does Budweiser imagine their American audience consists of?' Did they forget they are selling beer?

The ill-fated commercial by Schumer and Rogen was titled “Labels” and promoted the ideal that there are more than two genders.  This is of course the leftist narrative of the extremists in the LGBT community and was undoubtedly the impetus for the overwhelming negativity now surround the Budweiser beer brand after the commercials were released.

“From the start of our campaign at Super Bowl, the Bud Light Party has rallied around bringing people together,” said Alex Lambrecht, vice president of Bud Light. “In our newest spot, Seth and Amy remind Americans that labels belong on beer, not people—a message Bud Light proudly supports.”

Well, Budweiser may support the 'plus two' gender message, but apparently America's beer drinkers don't.  Amy Schumer’s radical leftist political positions have alienated a fair share of Americans over the past few years.  It has been pointed out that the comedian’s incendiary views on men and hypocritical outrage, is often in complete contrast with inclusivity she purportedly supports. This arrogant demeaning of the values of the Bud Light audience in all likelyhood, further contributed to the decline in Bud Light’s sales.  It doesn’t take a marketing genius to understand that having a wildly unpopular leftist demagogue represent your product might devalue your brand in the eyes of ordinary Americans and and have a negative impact on sales. Maybe it is time for the 'queens' at the King of Beers, to go back to the Clydesdales and recognizable Americana and stop with the extreme "progressive" social change messaging.

Oh and by the way.  Notice on the story picture there is a rodeo clown at the bottom left of the shot.  There are rumors floating around that this is the new job of the marketing guy that sold this commercial idea to Budweiser.
