Lamar Jackson, the 6' 3" quarterback for University of Louisville was awarded the Heisman trophy last night at a ceremony in New York City.

Jackson wore a crucifix around his neck during the day, while doing interviews, and then during the ceremony itself. When he was called up to give his speech on winning the trophy, he said: 'First and foremost, before I go further along in my speech, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without him, none of us would be here right now."

Jackson a perfectionist on the field and all around good guy off the field, is married and his wife is who expecting has already told the college super star that he will have to remove an entire room full of awards and plaques to make room for the new nursery.  Judging by the character of Jackson that will be just fine with him.
