Paris (TW) Facebook has decided to take an active role in global politics.  Fearing that Marie Le pen might just win the upcoming elections in France, Face book has targeted what it calls “fake” accounts linked to France ahead of the Country’s presidential election, as a part of a worldwide disinformation or misinformation campaign.   While not specifically stated by Facebook it is commonly understood that the targeted sites are in all likelihood, sites supportive of Le Pen.

Facebook said Thursday that it is trying to “reduce the spread of material generated through inauthentic activity, including spam, misinformation, or other deceptive content that is often shared by creators of fake accounts.”  And of course, the very liberal Facebook has deemed itself the sole arbiter of what is a fake site, what is misinformation or disinformation and who should be the winners and who should be the losers.

It said its efforts “enabled us to take action” against the French accounts read persecute Le Pen supporters.  Further it is removing sites with the highest traffic.  Those sites belong to the le Pen supporters who are akin to Trump supporters in the U.S.

Facebook in a coordinated effort with the leftist French media are also running fact-checking programs in France to combat what in their opinion is “misleading information,” especially focused on stopping Le Pen in round two of the campaign election process in the April 23-May 7 presidential election.

European Union authorities have also pressured Facebook and Twitter to remove pro Le Pen materials labeled “extremist propaganda” or other postings that violate European hate speech or other laws.  European hate speech is any speech that that does not support the Globalist Narrative of the EU or the Tyrants in Waiting in Brussels.
