Report: Kelly Is Hiding Daily Caller Stories From Trump
By: Alex Pfeiffer
President Donald Trump wants to know where his Daily Caller articles are, according to a Friday report from The New York Times.
The report documents White House chief of staff John Kelly's first month in his new role at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. It notes that Kelly has started to put in controls to restrict the kind of information that reaches Trump's desk.
"Mr. Kelly cannot stop Mr. Trump from binge-watching Fox News, which aides describe as the president's primary source of information gathering," the Times report said. "But Mr. Trump does not have a web browser on his phone, and does not use a laptop, so he was dependent on aides like Stephen K. Bannon, his former chief strategist, to hand-deliver printouts of articles from conservative media outlets."
"Now Mr. Kelly has thinned out his package of printouts so much that Mr. Trump plaintively asked a friend recently where The Daily Caller and Breitbart were."
The action from Kelly came as Trump received criticism from conservatives on two key policy issues, Afghanistan and illegal immigration. TheDC and Breitbart both noted that President Trump's decision to remain in Afghanistan indefinitely pleased rivals like Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The two outlets have also continuously written that President Trump would break a major campaign promise by not ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program.Donald Trump, news, Breitbart, Donald Trump , John Kelly, Daily Caller, Information Control
