Proving once again that she can always add to her resume of intellectual irrelevance, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi released a statement expressing her disapproval of President Trump’s bilateral agreement with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Tuesday morning.

“Apparently the president handed Kim Jong Un concessions in exchange for vague promises that do not approach a clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation,” the statement reads.

It rambled on, “In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo.”

To Pelosi’s chagrin, both President Trump and Kim Jong Un walked away from their meeting expressing positive sentiments about their interaction which means that Trump was able to charm the little rocket man from the perch of nuclear confrontation to the peace table with nothing but promises down the road if Kim behaved himself and denuclearized the Korean Peninsula.

“The president’s marginalization of the vast expertise of the State Department and his habitual disparaging of our allies as demonstrated at the G7 forum hinders a lasting, stable pathway to peace,” Pelosi concluded.

Of course, Pelosi failed to mention the failure of presidents from Clinton to the feckless Obama in bringing North Korea and the Kim Jong Un family dynasty to the peace table.  Instead they bribed him with cash without the means to verify or even substantially slow his acquisition of nuclear weapons.  In fact experts would argue that the cash influx from those bribes may well have enhanced North Korea’s ability to produce nuclear weapons.

Earlier this month, the intellectually challenged minority leader released a statement concerning both the unemployment rate, which was critical of the president’s jobs growth, despite the fact that unemployment in the U.S. is lower than it has been in decades and consumer confidence which she also criticized which is currently booming and at near a historic high.
