President Trump has made it official, at least on Twitter.

America's biggest enemy is "fake news."

Upon returning from the Singapore summit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un, trump tweeted Wednesday that it was "so funny" to watch coverage by NBC and CNN, whom labeled as "fake news" and "fools," as he indicated both networks were doing their best to downplay the agreement with North Korea.

"So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN," Trump tweeted.

"They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have 'begged' for this deal-looked like war would break out. Our Country's biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!"

In response Wednesday, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer claimed the media actually love the American people.

“Everybody’s always criticizing us and not happy with our coverage, whether it was President Clinton or President Bush or President, they’re all criticized,” Blitzer said, noting it was “a really, really awful situation” that so many Trump supporters believe the president’s charge.

CNN analyst David Gregory noted of Trump: “He’s so casual about throwing out language and you really undermine the presidency when you do that. …

“We live in an environment where social media principally allows so much hyperbole that now the president engages in it and it becomes kind of the bloodstream of our public discourse where you can say something that over the top, and it’ll be the president of the United States who says it.”
