Most Americans Believe Media Is More Divisive than President Trump

It has been more than two years since the shrill, unrelenting attacks aimed point blank at Donald Trump began. But, perhaps America has started figuring it out. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe that it is the media not the Trump administration that is the chief culprit in divisive atmosphere that is choking the country.
Finally, after all the media sensationalism, lies, smears, and sedition aimed at the president since he came down that escalator to begin his campaign, a clear majority, nearly two thirds of both Republicans and independent voters agree that it is the media that has sought to divide us and pit us against each other deeply dividing America.
Jeff Zucker recently admitted that his audience is the American left and that if he is not torching Trump, his ratings disappear. So, forget reporting, forget the truth, it’s all about ratings. This is what Zucker told Vanity Fair, ‘If we break away from Trump coverage 'the audience goes away.'
As those of who follow the media and politics know, 92% of the media coverage of President Trump is negative or very negative, this despite record employment and work-force participation, despite record low unemployment and job creation including manufacturing, despite stunning foreign policy successes the media day in and day out, night and day, hour after hour reports nothing but negative stories and fake news about this administration.
Morning Consult had this to say:
In the new Morning Consult/Politico poll, 64 percent of registered voters said the press has done more to divide the country than unite it since Trump took office, compared with 56 percent who said the same was true of the president.
The poll of 2,543 voters was conducted Oct. 25-30, after news first broke of mail bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc's attempted acts of politically motivated violence and amid news of a shooting by suspect Robert Bowers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in PittsburghMainstream Media, CNN, MSNBC, WAPO, NYT, Donald Trump, BIg Media
